Deep Dish Dungeon cooking pot: all 17 recipes

All 17 Deep Dish Dungeon cooking pot recipes from demo v1013, plus craft cost, cook times, and the prep other stations require.

What the pot is for

Hunger in a dungeon crawler is a crafting problem, not a menu you open between rooms. The Deep Dish Dungeon cooking pot is the camp station that turns foraged plants, butchered cuts, and noodles into soups, stews, and pasta. Roast-only play misses every card that wants a raw ingredient beside its cooked twin. This guide shows how the Deep Dish Dungeon cooking pot is made, lists all 17 recipes recorded for Windows Steam demo v1013, and maps the rotisserie and cooking-table prep those cards assume.

The demo’s recipe set spans eight stations and 153 recipes in a catalog compiled from that build and updated August 20, 2026. Seventeen of those cards belong to the pot. The rest matter because several pot dishes are impossible until another station has already produced noodles, a fillet, a drumstick, or a roasted half. The pie the game is named for is not one of those seventeen. Deep Dish Pie is an oven bake. If you only search the pot, you will never see it.

Official build notes for every food stat are not in the sources used here. Treat cook times and ingredient lines as catalog facts. Treat hunger, healing, and buff numbers as unknown.

Craft it before the iron is gone

Hand crafting, not the workbench, places the pot. The recorded cost is one Iron Pot and three Iron Rods. The result is a world object, so you are building a station, not a pocket item you eat from.

StationHow you get itRecorded costWhat it actually does
Cooking PotHand crafting, then place1 Iron Pot + 3 Iron Rods17 boiled, soup, stew, and pasta cards
KettleHand crafting, then place1 Iron Pot + 2 ChainsSeparate station; do not spend the pot here if you still need soups
RotisserieHand crafting, then place2 Sticks + 2 Wood PlanksSingle-item roasts that several pot cards require first
Cooking TableHand crafting, then place2 Wood Planks + 1 LeatherButchery, dough, noodles, raw pies
OvenHand crafting, then place5 Clay + 1 GrateBreads, pastels, pies, and some of the same roasts

Steps that match the catalog:

  1. Secure one Iron Pot and three Iron Rods before you commit either material to a kettle, weapon, or chest.
  2. Hand-craft the Cooking Pot. The card is in the hand-crafting list, alongside the rotisserie and the kettle.
  3. Place the object at camp. It does not cook while it is still an unplaced craft result.
  4. Pre-cook any “roasted” or “cooked” half on the rotisserie or oven, then return to the pot with both halves.

Pitfalls tied to those materials:

  • The kettle uses the same Iron Pot. Chains are the other kettle ingredient (two of them). Spending the pot on a kettle blocks this station until you find another pot.
  • Community reports from an earlier finished-demo run said iron rods were not something players could freely generate. Those players counted only a small starter set of rods, plus a cooking pot already sitting by the campfire. Whether that campfire pot is the crafted object, a free starter, or an older layout is unknown. Plan as if three rods are expensive.
  • Clay, leather, chains, and logs were also called out in that same player experience as items the run could not generate. Oven, cooking table, and kettle all lean on those. The pot’s own cost does not use them, which makes it one of the few advanced food stations that is “only” iron.

Where an Iron Pot drops, and whether rods can be smelted in v1013, is not in the supplied pages. HOLD drop locations for Iron Pot and Iron Rod.

The game’s Steam listing is the Deep Dish Dungeon page on Steam. Patch text there outranks any fan card if a later build changes the craft.

All 17 pot recipes

Demo v1013’s compiled cards put 17 outputs on the Deep Dish Dungeon cooking pot. Five finish in 45 seconds. Twelve take one minute. No pot card in that list runs as long as the oven pies (those are three minutes).

Boiled Corn1 min1 Wild Corn + 1 Roasted CornAccepts all vegetables
Pesto Pasta1 min1 Noodles + 1 CilantroAccepts all vegetables
Pamonha1 min1 Wild Corn + 1 Roasted CornAccepts all vegetables

Read the pairs literally. Meat Soup and Stew both want raw meat and cooked meat, so one rat’s worth of meat is not enough if a single rat yields one raw meat. Mushroom Soup wants a fresh mushroom and a roasted one. Fruit Compote wants a fresh apple and a roasted one. Fish Moqueca wants a raw fillet and a grilled fillet. Drumstick Soup wants a raw drumstick and a cooked drumstick. Boiled Corn and Pamonha both list wild corn plus roasted corn.

“Accepts all vegetables” is the catalog’s wording. It does not say how many vegetable slots exist, or whether a vegetable is required. HOLD slot count and whether the extra is optional.

Boiled Corn and Pamonha share the same recorded core and the same one-minute timer. The catalog does not list a second ingredient that splits them. HOLD the real difference. Cook one, check the output name in your build, and do not assume a pepper or a bean changes the result until you see it.

Boiled Cassava is also an ingredient, not only a meal. The cooking table’s Raw Cassava Pie is one Boiled Cassava plus one Raw Meat. That pie still has to be baked (Cassava Pie, oven, three minutes). If cassava is scarce, decide whether the pot meal or the pie chain matters more before you boil the root.

These are not pot recipes, even if the names sound close:

Scorpion Tail, Bug Guts, and Crisp Algae have rotisserie or table cards. None of the 17 pot outputs lists them. Do not hold the pot timer expecting a scorpion stew that this catalog does not contain.

Prep the other station first

The pot timer is the short part. The failure mode is arriving with two raw pieces, or with two already-cooked pieces, when the card wants one of each.

Worked route for Meat Soup, using only recorded steps:

  1. Get two Raw Meat. Hand crafting turns one Rat into one Raw Meat. Community reports also describe rat traps, or grabbing a rat before it hides under debris. The trap card is three Sticks and places a world object. A recorded dependency on Animal Hide is listed; what that flag does in play is not explained. HOLD the exact trap unlock.
  2. Leave one portion raw.
  3. Roast the other: 40 seconds on the rotisserie or 30 seconds in the oven.
  4. Pot: one Raw Meat plus one Cooked Meat, one minute.

Stew uses that same pair and also accepts vegetables. If you have pepper or mushroom to spare, stew is the card that can absorb them. Meat Soup does not carry the vegetable note. Cook the roast first either way. If you roast both pieces, both cards are blocked until you butcher another rat.

Worked route for Fish Moqueca:

  1. Butcher a Moray Eel on the cooking table into one Raw Fish Filet.
  2. You need a second fillet for the grilled half. One eel card yields one fillet, so one eel is not a full moqueca.
  3. Grill one fillet (30 seconds, rotisserie or oven). Keep the other raw.
  4. Pot: raw fillet plus grilled fish, one minute. Vegetables are accepted; a fixed vegetable is not listed.

Player experience places the moray only in the sewers, and only while the water is raised and you are swimming. That is a location report from a demo clear, not a full spawn table.

Drumstick Soup follows the same split. The cooking table turns one Bat Carcass into two Raw Drumsticks, which is exactly one raw and one to cook. A frog, by hand crafting, also yields two raw drumsticks. Oven drumsticks finish in 20 seconds; the rotisserie takes 30. A community comment said mushroom, fish, and drumstick stews needed two of the butchered item, from fish and from the bat near the end. That “two portions” observation lines up with the later raw-plus-cooked cards, but the comment’s recipe names are not identical to the v1013 list. Use the comment as player experience, and use the table above as the newer card text.

Pasta is a longer chain and it never starts at the pot:

  1. Wild Corn plus a Water Bottle becomes Corn Dough on the cooking table.
  2. Corn Dough alone becomes Noodles on the cooking table.
  3. Then the pot takes noodles plus a second item: algae (Ramen), raw meat (Spaghetti), wild corn (Chow Mein), raw fish fillet (Fra Diavolo), or cilantro (Pesto). All five say they accept vegetables. All five take one minute.

HOLD whether the hand-crafted Water Flask (two Vines and two Animal Hide) counts as the Water Bottle the dough card names. The sources never equate those two items.

Mushroom Soup and Fruit Compote are the clean early pairs if you already have apples and mushrooms. Roast one, keep one, 45 seconds in the pot. Apple is the only food an early clear reported you can eat raw, so roasting or boiling the rest is not optional flavor. It is how that player got edible food at all.

Early clears versus the v1013 cards

An earlier Steam discussion, written after a finished demo run, described a much smaller pot. That player experience found two pot results: a veggie mix of wild pepper, mushroom, and apple, and a stew that added raw meat. A later comment on the same thread added mushroom, fish, and drumstick versions, and said you need two of the butchered item. The same report’s gather list was sticks, rocks, planks, rats, scrap metal, vines, coal, animal hide, apples, raw meat, mushrooms, wild pepper, and algae.

That gather list does not include tomato, cassava, black beans, wild corn, or cilantro. Those five are required by cards that exist in the August 2026 v1013 catalog. Either the demo grew new ingredients after that clear, or those cards exist in data before the items are reachable. The supplied pages do not include item-source locations. HOLD whether Tomato Soup, Bean Soup, cassava, corn dishes, and pesto can be completed in a given demo save. Do not farm a sewer for black beans based on this guide. The recipes are recorded. The spawn points are not.

What that early clear could already feed, if the later cards accept the same items:

  • Fruit Compote from apples, after one is roasted.
  • Mushroom Soup from mushrooms, after one is roasted.
  • Cooked Veggies, if wild pepper and mushroom count as vegetables. The early player also dropped apple into a veggie pot. The v1013 veggie card does not name apple. HOLD apple’s tag.
  • Meat Soup and Stew once rats become two raw meats and one of them is cooked.
  • Ramen’s algae half, but only after noodles exist. Noodles need corn dough. Corn was not on that early gather list.

Enemies that player tied to food, not to the pot UI: skeletons through the dungeon, scorpions in a descending hall off the main room, the moray while swimming in raised sewer water, and one large bat outside the forge where an iron key is traded toward a prison key. Rats were the everyday meat source. The bat and the eel are the butcher targets behind drumsticks and fillets.

A practical order, then the unknowns

Use this order when iron and meat are both tight. It prefers cards you can attempt with the foods named in community reports, then spends rarer chains only after the pot is placed.

OrderGoalWhy this step is first
1Place a rotisserie (2 sticks, 2 planks)Several pot cards are illegal without a roasted half
2Place the pot (1 iron pot, 3 iron rods)No substitute station cooks this list
3Fruit Compote or Mushroom Soup45 seconds, no noodles, uses foods early clears actually listed
4Split rat meat into Meat SoupTeaches the raw-plus-cooked rule before you waste a fillet
5Add vegetables to Stew instead of Meat SoupSame meat pair, and the stew card is the one that accepts vegetables
6Eel or bat only when you can spare two portionsMoqueca and drumstick soup both consume a raw half and a cooked half
7Dough, then noodles, then one pastaFive different one-minute dishes share that noodle
8Boil cassava only if you want the pie chain or the simple pot dishThe boiled root is also the pie’s cooking-table input

Camp timers are short enough to run during a reset, not during a fight. Forty seconds of rotisserie plus one minute of stew is the long meat path. A single tomato soup is only 45 seconds, but only if a tomato exists in your build. Forty seconds plus 45 seconds is the mushroom or apple pair if you roast on the spit rather than the oven.

Do not confuse this station with weapon crafting. Scrap metal and wood planks upgrade a weapon at the forge anvil in that same catalog (five scrap and two planks for the first level). Higher anvil levels ask for a grinding stone. None of that cooks. None of it belongs in the pot.

Unknowns, kept separate so they are not guessed:

  • Hunger restored, healing, buffs, and spoil times: unknown.
  • Exact vegetable list and whether “accepts all vegetables” is optional: unknown.
  • What separates Pamonha from Boiled Corn: unknown beyond identical listed cores.
  • Water Flask versus Water Bottle: unknown.
  • Sources for tomato, cassava root, black beans, wild corn, cilantro, and the iron pot: unknown in these sources.
  • Whether the campfire pot from early player experience is the hand-crafted pot: unknown. The craft cost and the “pot already by the fire” report are both on record. They are not the same sentence.

If a card in your client disagrees with this list, believe the client. The 17 lines are a compilation of demo v1013, not a promise about a later update on the Steam store page.

FAQ

How many recipes does the Deep Dish Dungeon cooking pot have?

Seventeen in the demo v1013 catalog: five at 45 seconds and twelve at one minute. The full demo list across all stations is 153. Deep Dish Pie is not in the seventeen. It is an oven recipe made from Raw Deep Dish Pie.

What do you craft the pot from?

One Iron Pot and three Iron Rods, hand-crafted, then placed as a world object. The kettle spends that same Iron Pot plus two Chains. Save the pot if soups are the goal. Early community reports also said extra iron rods were not generated during that clear.

Why does the pot reject food I already cooked?

Several cards want one raw piece and one cooked piece of the same food: meat, mushroom, apple, fish, drumstick, or corn. Two roasted pieces satisfy the rotisserie, not those pot cards. Cook only half, then start the pot.

Can you finish every pot recipe in the demo?

The cards are recorded. Full gather paths for tomato, cassava, black beans, wild corn, and cilantro are not in the sources used here, so completion of those dishes is HOLD. Apples, mushrooms, wild pepper, algae, and rat meat are the foods an earlier demo clear actually reported finding, and they cover compote, mushroom soup, and the meat pair if you can roast one half.
